My 'Flared Salad Bowl' was one of my donated glass fused ceramic bowls for the 2011 Empty Bowls Project luncheon. It was the first one of my new line of glass fused ceramic bowls with the metallic finish and I was very excited (and a little nervous) to see how they would be received.

What is the Empty Bowls Project? The Empty Bowls luncheon is an annual fundraiser event put on by local pottery and ceramic artists to benefit our local Tarrant Area Food Bank. Artists volunteer and donate their time to create and decorate bowls all year long to give away to ticket holders as their one-of-a-kind door prizes.
